Wedding Photography - Chandos House in London
Chandos House in central London was the venue, which for those that don’t know is a Grade 1 listed, very elegant, Georgian Townhouse so it was always going to be a sophisticated event. Aya was getting ready at the House which doubles as a hotel so we managed to capture a few shots of her before the ceremony, surrounded by her hair and makeup artists and girlfriends. The ceremony took place in the main room at the front, flooded with natural light and brimming with period features, chandeliers and it’s spectacular ornate ceiling. It was a very emotional affair and was lovely to see them both shedding a tear at “that” moment when it all becomes official.

We all moved outside for the greeting of the newly married couple and taking of the requested family shots by the grand entrance while the guests chatted, toasted the couple and took their own shots. This was the first weekend in September when we had had a run of bad weather and then out of the blue the sun was blazing, hitting mid to high 20’s, great on the one hand but from a photographers point of view midday sun is not our best friend!
Wedding at Chandos House
Time was very much of the essence with this wedding as the booking was quite short so after a short while meeting and greeting we managed to take a few shots of the happy couple on their own before taking the large group shot on the centre stage stairway. The day went to plan and we left them to enjoy the wedding breakfast.
